Lycaon pictus is a canid discovered just in Africa, especially in savannas and softly lush areas. It is variously called the African wild pooch, African chasing puppy, Cape chasing canine, painted puppy, painted wolf, painted chasing puppy, spotted puppy, or ornate wolf.
